Our Organization

We are dedicated to developing and operating the Battle of Plattsburgh Interpretive Center and War of 1812 Museum. In this effort we will collect, preserve and maintain appropriate artifacts and undertake a national education effort to publicize the significance of the Battle of Plattsburgh in the War of 1812 and our nation’s history. Our Vision

• Preserve our precious local history including the vital role Plattsburgh played at the end of the War of 1812.
• Create a world-class museum enlightening and instructing visitors about both the Battle of Plattsburgh and the War of 1812.
• Educate school children throughout the region, throughout New York state and, eventually, throughout the United States about the significance of the Battle of Plattsburgh and the War of 1812.
